Responsibilities include interviewing, training, evaluating performance, rewarding, and coaching associates. Responsibilities Establishing an uplifting work environment that allows associates to feel valued, appreciated, and engaged Empowering associates to create a simple, fresh, and inspired shopping experience for every customer Prioritizing and planning work activities efficiently Identifying and resolving problems timely by analyzing information and developing solutions Communicating company, department, and job-specific information to associates Ensuring new associates are properly oriented and understand their benefits Supporting the Customer 1st team and company promises Delegating work appropriately and monitoring progress Maintaining punctuality and coverage during absences Executing action plans, performance goals, and best practices Adhering to food safety regulations and safety programs Staying current with ads and promoting corporate brands Managing associate scheduling and providing feedback for growth Aligning work with store initiatives and communicating priorities Maintaining product knowledge for associates and customers Creating/executing sales promotions and controlling supply expenses Assisting in budget preparation and profit/loss reviews Developing and implementing department business plans Supervising and coaching associates, conducting reviews, and rewarding performance Managing conflict cooperatively and acting with integrity Following directions and resolving customer/business issues Supporting interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults Performing essential functions with or without accommodations Qualifications Effective communication and customer service skills Basic math knowledge Ability to handle stressful situations Leadership skills Flexibility in work schedule Completion of basic and supervisory skills training About Us Based in Washington, Qualify Food Centers (QFC) merged with The Kroger Company in 1998.
