Per Diem Round Cook sought to prepare meals and serve our patients. Hours are 6am-2pm, 7 days a week, depending on program needs. Follow recipes and directions provided by the Kitchen Manager. Prepare the menu for three healthy meals per day for approximately 75 individuals and ensure a variety of healthy snacks are available to residents throughout the day, on weekends. What You'll Do
Follow Kitchen Manager guidelines and work independently when required; cover for other cooks as needed. Follow the daily menu, organize workload, and cook from scratch where appropriate. Serve and store food in accordance with health and safety standards. Stock food supplies on delivery, including fresh produce, dry goods, canned goods, spices, and pantry items. Perform quality control on food leaving the kitchen. Request inventory items to keep up with demand. Cook for at least 1 year for groups of 75+; safely use all kitchen equipment and supplies. Organize and coordinate purchase of food, supplies, and equipment needed to prepare 3 meals per day and healthy snacks for up to 75 individuals. Qualifications
At least 1 year of food preparation and kitchen management experience, serving 75+ guests per meal. Ability to meet physical and training requirements; ability to lift 25–50 pounds repetitively. Experience with Latin American cuisine is preferred. SERV Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Minimum high school diploma or GED; CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. Participates in regular training about nutrition and healthy meal preparation. Fluent in Spanish preferred. Fresh foods emphasis; flexible to seasonal menus and daily/weekly changes based on what’s fresh. Ability to tailor dishes to dietary restrictions; from-scratch cooking. Culinary craftsmanship and teamwork. Job Details
