Plan, accompany, and supervise the team to and from all events including practices and competitions.
Responsible for all matters pertaining to the organization and administration of coaching an athletic team.
Assist the Director of Activities with hiring, development, and evaluation of assistant coaches.
Work with the Director of Activities on specific budget requests, spending, and fundraising as needed.
Plan and implement both in-season and out-of-season conditioning and weight programs with the Pagel Center Staff.
Coordinate practice and game schedules with the Student Activities Office, Activities Coordinator, or other coaches.
Enforce discipline and sportsmanship at all times; establish and manage activity penalties for breaches of standards by students.
Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Enforce all rules of the Minnesota State High School League and Minnetonka Public School Policies related to the sport.
Order equipment, uniforms, and supplies; maintain and return inventory at season's end.
Maintain accurate records (student physicals, parental consents, attendance, insurance, codes, etc.) with the Student Activities Office.
Prepare a roster of team members including numbers, grade levels, and positions.
Verify participant eligibility through the MHS Activities Office.
Report and document injuries immediately using the injury report form to the trainer and Director of Activities.
Participate in coaches meetings, PLCs, and pre/post-season meetings with the Director of Activities.
Develop and implement a transformational purpose statement and an emergency action plan as directed by the MSHS League.
Possess knowledge and background in the assigned sport.
Understand and adhere to the Minnetonka Public School District's Student Activity and Athletic Code and Coaches/Advisors Handbook.
Comply with policies regarding student conduct and disciplinary actions.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all stakeholders.
Receive work direction and demonstrate a strong work ethic and dedication to student participation benefits.
Have the physical ability to perform essential job functions.

Compensation: In accordance with Schedule B of the Teacher Collective Bargaining Agreement. Rates are detailed in Appendix -c-, Schedule B. Not eligible for medical or dental benefits.
