Hyatt Regency . This job is active and accepting applications. Summary The goal of the Chef de Cuisine is to manage a specific restaurant. The Chef de Cuisine will take counsel from the Executive Chef to create and implement menu concepts, operating in a manner akin to an independent owner/operator. Organization: Hyatt Regency Santa Clara Responsibilities include: Act as senior leadership by developing and assuming key management responsibilities Serve as liaison between dining room operations and culinary staff Supervise the preparation and cooking of food items Develop and implement creative menu items within the restaurant concept Plan and coordinate special events and holiday functions Manage kitchen staff through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, and hiring Potentially manage other culinary leadership roles, including supervisors and Sous Chefs Lead and coach the team to achieve guest satisfaction and employee engagement Monitor food production, ordering, costs, quality, and consistency daily Participate in marketing events related to the restaurant Qualifications: Deep knowledge of kitchen operations Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience in training, financial management, and customer service Proficiency in computer skills Desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced environment Ability to produce consistent, timely results Culinary education and/or relevant experience, including independent restaurant work, preferred Flexibility in location and schedule preferred Additional Details: Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job functions: Management and Manufacturing Industry: Hospitality Referrals can double your chances of interviewing at Hyatt Regency.
