Senior Sales Manager - Group at Destination by Hyatt, The Lodge at Spruce Peak, Stowe, VT. The role focuses on generating group business, developing strong client relationships, and driving revenue through effective sales strategies for corporate and association groups. Ideally located on-site, with consideration for strong applicants who wish to work remotely from a major city in the Northeast. Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets for group business. Prospect, qualify, and secure group business from various market segments (corporate, association, etc.). Manage the complete sales cycle, including identifying opportunities, negotiating contracts, and finalizing group bookings. Identify new market trends and customer needs to position the hotel competitively. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and high satisfaction levels. Serve as the primary point of contact for group clients, providing exceptional service and attention to detail. Host site visits and presentations to potential clients to showcase the hotel’s facilities and services. Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams and other hotel departments to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and events. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior sales staff, helping them develop their skills and achieve sales goals. Maintain a strong presence at industry events and networking functions to increase visibility and brand awareness. Prepare and negotiate group contracts, proposals, and pricing to ensure profitability while meeting client needs. Review contractual agreements and group requirements to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services. Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets and industry trends, making adjustments as needed. Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager on group sales activities, progress, and financial outcomes. Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and revenue management for group bookings. Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,000 per year, plus eligible to earn a quarterly incentive. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. Minimum 10 years of sales experience in hospitality, specifically in group sales. Proven track record in generating and closing corporate/association group business. Experience in managing large accounts and corporate client relationships is a plus. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Exceptional customer service with a focus on exceeding client expectations. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Proficiency in sales and hotel management software (e.g., Envision, Delphi, etc.). Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
