Overview
Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) is seeking a Senior Fraud Investigator to support the Fraud Investigations team by researching and analyzing potential fraudulent activity on consumer accounts. This role involves identifying risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and other suspicious activities, while supporting the coordination of the repurchase demand process. You will collaborate with various business units and subsidiaries to understand client relationships and assist in investigative tasks. Responsibilities
Prepare professional repurchase demand letters outlining specific contract breaches, documentation errors, or compliance violations. Conduct timely, comprehensive investigations using customer identification information, occupation, line of business, income methods, transaction activity, and other data to confirm facts and support findings. Input data into a centralized database to track repurchase activities and generate detailed reports. Analyze documents and verifications related to loans provided by dealerships to verify legitimacy and accuracy before completing transactions. Document and summarize investigative results for ID theft complaints, suspicious activity referrals, and other alerts. Collaborate with other departments to gather information for investigations. Review funded loans for fraud indicators and validate or refute fraud using vendor software or internal tools when possible. Create, update, and maintain documents critical to Fraud Management. Maintain confidentiality of personal consumer information, including Social Security numbers and dates of birth. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Competencies
Required Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in the financial services industry in a fraud investigation or related role. Education
High school diploma and/or GED. Skills and Competencies
Identify patterns and trends in repurchase behavior to inform business decisions. Strong attention to detail and ability to protect the company from fraud risks. Research, deductive problem solving, and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to identify improvement ideas. Understanding of automotive financing principles, systems, and processes. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across organizational levels. Commitment to quality and excellence. Ability to integrate information from multiple sources and manage varying complexities. Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint). Qualifications Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, or related field. 3 years of captive auto finance experience. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Knowledge of financial industry regulations (AML, FDCPA, GLBA, FCRA, ECOA, CFPB) and related supervision. Other Details
Overtime as needed. Travel 0–10% as required. Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to Atlanta, GA or Houston, TX. Work Schedule and Environment
Hybrid role requiring in-office presence two days per week, with flexibility for varying shifts between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend availability. Travel 0–10%.
