Job Responsibility Position Summary

Audit Supervisory Senior performs a wide variety of diversified, usually complex, assurance-related tasks under the supervision of a manager or shareholder. Seeks guidance and assistance from Supervisors as needed.

Essential Functions

Understands the rules, regulations, and Code of Professional Conduct of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Delegates work to audit staff, audit seniors, supervises work, provides feedback and evaluates their progress.

Attends and participates in professional education/training sessions.

Effectively communicates (written and verbal) with clients and peers as needed.

Performs an in-charge role on most client engagements.

Effectively completes the broadest range of accounting tasks so that direct participation of supervisors, managers, or shareholders is kept to a minimum.

Has an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Other Comprehensive Basis of Accounting (OCBOA), unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statements presentations.

Prepares compilations.

Obtains a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.

Nonessential Functions

Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

May assist with recruiting and training of other audit department personnel.

Capable of managing multiple and/or conflicting tasks with proficient organizational and time management skills.

Continually enhance and develop industry knowledge and experience.

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related fields is required.

Master's degree preferred.

Licensed CPA in good standing or actively working towards passing the CPA examination preferred.

At least 4 years of experience in audit and assurance or relevant position.

Industry experience in Construction, Energy & Natural Resources, ERISA, Healthcare, High Net-Worth Family Office, Non-Profit, or Real Estate is considered a PLUS.
