We are seeking a Senior Language Analyst fluent in Mandarin Chinese to join our high-impact team supporting National Defense and Security in the National Capital Region. Responsibilities
Serve as a mission-focused problem solver, actively engaging with partners, enablers, and customers across the operational ecosystem Provide high-quality linguistic support—including translation, transcription, summarization, and cultural interpretation—for analysis and mission execution Synthesize complex foreign language materials into actionable insights Mentor junior analysts, contribute to the technical health of the mission, and guide tool adoption and best practices Deliver timely, accurate, and mission-relevant customer support in a dynamic environment Required Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese with ILR 3/3 in reading and listening U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance (active clearance preferred) Relevant experience in one or more of the following:
Translation, transcription, or interpretation U.S. military service or government experience with analysis STEM fields including computer science, cyber, telecommunications, space, or weapons systems
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks Ideal Candidates Are
Intellectually curious and committed to continual learning Clear and effective communicators Comfortable navigating ambiguity to solve complex problems Oriented toward national service and high-performance teamwork Desired Background or Coursework
Target development or metadata analysis Social network analysis Research methodology or regional studies (e.g., China or East Asia) Quantitative/statistical modeling or data science Cybersecurity or computer/network engineering Senior-Level Candidates Will Typically Have
Substantial experience performing language quality control A track record as an established senior analyst or team lead Experience coaching and mentoring language analysts Expertise in internal tools and tradecraft Broad understanding of how mission systems interconnect DLPT 5 (V) test scores or other validated language assessments demonstrating ILR 3/3 proficiency Language Testing
