We are looking for a
Director, Credit Analyst, Hedge Funds
who will be responsible for processing assigned accounts as the primary analyst by performing independent, forward-looking credit analysis of current and prospective Sponsor and Hedge Fund clients, and acting as a secondary analyst as needed. The individual in this role will provide rating and limits recommendations based on the analysis. Our Credit Analysts possess extensive knowledge of our risk assessment and portfolio risk management frameworks, which they use to support our Account Managers with credit reviews, ongoing risk monitoring, and client creditworthiness assessments. They also evaluate Standard Chartered’s risk appetite against market and economic conditions across different markets and asset classes. About Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB)

Process potential Sponsor and Hedge Fund clients’ front-to-end Business Credit Analysis (BCA), acting as the primary analyst for assigned accounts, performing independent, forward-looking credit analysis, and providing rating and limits recommendations. Serve as a point of contact for Credit Analysis, collaborating closely with clients, relationship managers, legal, and internal teams to ensure compliance, booking, and funding processes. Plan and execute the overall credit process and proactive monitoring of credit events for assigned accounts. Evaluate risks associated with transactions, products, borrowers, and counterparties. Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory credit policies in collaboration with GAM, Client Managers, and Financial Markets teams. Monitor risk triggers, covenants, and credit conditions, preparing reports and escalating issues as necessary, including tracking ISDA NAV triggers and client performance over time. Maintain Zero BCA overdues and work to minimize extensions. Contribute to excess report processes, proposing limit adjustments and addressing queries promptly. Participate in account planning sessions to understand customer businesses. Conduct credit due diligence, including visits and meetings with customers, especially for annual reviews and new transactions. Assist in negotiating credit terms for ISDA/CSA agreements through Credit Term Sheets. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in Funds Risk, Legal, and Middle Office. Review portfolios periodically to assess creditworthiness and conduct ad hoc reviews based on market or client news. Monitor market data and risk triggers proactively. Handle complex transactions and relationships personally. Assist with Stress Tests requests. Skills and Experience
Minimum 10 years of credit analysis experience with Sponsors or Hedge Funds. Strong understanding of financial markets and investment funds, including associated risks. Financial statement analysis experience is preferred but not mandatory. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields; MBA/CFA is a plus. Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively in a dynamic environment. High attention to detail and data accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience working across cultures and environments. About Standard Chartered

The expected annual base pay range is USD 148,000 to USD 195,000, with final offers based on experience, skills, and location.
