Communication Sciences and Disorders Position Summary: The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Memphis is seeking a skilled, innovative, and visionary speech-language pathologist with a strong clinical background who would like to work in a stimulating academic setting. The Director would develop and direct a new online program for speech-language pathology assistants. This position is a twelve-month, non-tenure-track, grant-funded line, beginning in January 2025. The continuation of this position beyond four years is contingent upon the SLP-A program’s success. This is a great opportunity for a talented speech-language pathologist to join an energized and innovative faculty. The University of Memphis has nationally recognized professional graduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, a research-oriented PhD, and a bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies. The SLP-A program would be a new addition to the school’s offerings. Minimum Position Qualifications: Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher CCC-SLP and eligible for Tennessee state licensure Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in a preK-12 school environment Minimum of 2 years of experience as a clinical educator Excellent communication, counseling/coaching, collaboration, organizational, and leadership skills The following areas are desired, but not required: Experience with telepractice/telesupervision Experience working in higher education Familiarity with online instructional technology and course design Special Conditions: Posting Date:
