DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking an exceptional colorectal surgeon for a full-time faculty position in the Section of Colorectal Surgery at the academic rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. The department is committed to excellence in surgical care, education, and research, with clinical practice across the Texas Medical Center and partner institutions. Responsibilities

Develop and participate in department and division clinical, research, and educational programs. Support the implementation of evidence-based, state-of-the-art protocols and quality metrics for the service at BCM. Provide call coverage for CHI St. Luke's Hospital - The Woodlands. Actively participate in college, department, hospital, and clinical professional meetings. Grow the Surgical Oncology division through participation in clinical, research, and education efforts. Minimum Qualifications

Board-certified or board-eligible for ABCRS; eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas. Completion of a certified colorectal surgery fellowship is required. An established track record in clinical and translational research is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teaching surgical learners. Interest in contributing to innovative research and educational programs; candidates with a plan for obtaining extramural funding will be prioritized.
