Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager Location: Collegeville, PA, US 19426 Business Unit: Specialty Metals Posting Date: Sep 16, 2025 Environment, Health and Safety Manager who leads and manages all EHS programs and systems for the Superior Tube manufacturing facility in Collegeville, PA. Responsible for continuous improvement of EHS activities, with a focus on creating an injury-free workplace culture and reducing risk. Ensures compliance with USEPA, PADEP, OSHA, and state/local regulations. Reports to the Superior Tube Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

Provide professional EHS leadership to establish a robust, sustainable EHS culture with a focus on improvement and risk reduction.

Identify and assess facility risks; develop and implement control measures aligned with an injury-free, zero-incident culture, including engineered solutions such as automation, hands-free work, and ergonomic improvements.

Respond urgently to EHS incidents; conduct investigations, present review reports using root cause tools, and pursue corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Maintain OSHA injury/illness records, workers’ compensation records, and loss-time injury data.

Regularly conduct EHS audits, assess risks, implement changes to improve EHS programs, and optimize program effectiveness (and costs where prudent).

Coach, lead, mentor, train, and develop managers, supervisors, and employees to achieve EHS objectives; support individual EHS knowledge and development.

Develop and implement training programs to ensure all workers have current EHS knowledge and meet training calendars.

Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies, inspectors, and permit officials.

Maintain EHS permits, reports, training records, and logs; ensure environmental reports and plans are submitted to the appropriate agencies and available for audits/inspections; ensure site adherence to applicable environmental requirements.

Maintain electronic SDS library and chemical management requirements.

Maintain PPE hazard assessment program, PPE inventories, and enforce proper PPE use.

Actively participate in safety programs at Superior Tube, the Division, and Corporate levels; chair the Superior Tube Safety Committee; share incident reviews and training via Safety Team calls; collaborate with other EHS professionals within Ametek to align with company initiatives.

Provide recommendations to management to resolve EHS concerns, identify risks, and proactively reduce risks to improve operations; collaborate with operations leadership on safety programs and risk assessments; provide data for new projects or equipment changes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Applied Science, Safety Engineering, or similar; master’s degree preferred but not required.

7–10 years of manufacturing EHS experience with increasing responsibility.

Expertise with tools to detect, monitor, and measure environmental/worker exposure and incident tracking.

Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Knowledge of Behavioral-Based Safety, cultural improvement, risk assessment, and hazard reduction programs.

Root-cause analysis experience and collaboration with operations on continuous improvement; Lean or Six Sigma a plus.

Professional integrity and credibility as an EHS expert; strong verbal and written communication skills for training and direction.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams); strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Experience in a manufacturing setting with knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes; metalworking experience preferred.

US export authorization required.

On-site position in a manufacturing facility; not a work-from-home opportunity.

Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried
