Portland, OR - Hybrid The Senior Color Designer at HOKA is an independent and motivated creative with a keen eye for detail and enthusiasm for problem-solving and curiosity for mentorship. Working under the Senior Color Design Manager, you will oversee a large, complex workload that could include multiple product categories as an independent contributor or a smaller category load as a people leader. You will display a strong understanding of color theory and how that translates through the lens of footwear design. You will take an active role in shaping brand color strategy on a seasonal cadence, incorporating market input, trend research, and brand history into your work, delivering thoughtful and innovative color solutions that evolve HOKA DNA and support business needs. Additionally, you will collaborate with partners in design, product development, and product line management to understand project scope, construction, and material limitations. You will create and maintain Merch Grids and Color CADs for your categories, ensuring the work is done accurately and in a timely manner to hit deadlines and product creation gates. Help shape brand color strategy through palette build, creating color stories, and identifying trends. Manage footwear color across multiple categories, maintaining CADs and Merch Grids. Meet with Design and Development to understand project limitations and goals. Work closely with the PLM team to create a cohesive range of products that drive HOKA forward. Collaborate with Merch Counterparts to implement global feedback into our design process. Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, footwear design, fashion or graphic design, fine arts, or equivalent combination of experience and/or education. 7+ years of related experience in color design. 1-2+ years of experience training new team members.
