Growth opportunity for a Senior Accountant!! Our client is currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support the month-end close including Balance Sheet and P&L reviews, journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general accounting activities. This role will advise up-line management regarding the practice management financial programs in a multi-site organization. The Senior Staff Accountant will support financial goals for various operating units, maintains general ledger and related systems for accounts receivable and accounts payable. Leads the coordination and processing of A/P for all divisions within the organization. Maintains general ledger, including preparing financial schedules, writing journal entries, maintains cash clearing account reconciliations, etc. Supports monthly close and related management companies in an accurate and timely manner (4 business days). Ensures accruals are appropriately made each month. Reviews G/L coding on invoices before checks are released to ensure accurate coding. Works with Controller and other practice management staff to obtain all necessary information and explanations. Ensures compliance with Management Services Agreements for the practice. Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported by valid detail. Reviews monthly reporting packages for all divisions for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness. Ensures accuracy and completeness of fixed assets records, including depreciation. Understands and confirms accuracy of discounts/reserves for ACS monthly. Assists in the annual budgeting process for all divisions. Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting review Ad Hoc analysis, projects, and other duties as assigned

Senior Staff Accountant Requirements And Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Practice Management/Health Care related experience preferred 5+ years of progressive Accounting experience CPA and or MBA preferred, though not required Work in-person a total of 4 days per week at the Central Business Office. There may be need upon occasion to visit another site/office for meetings. Advanced Excel Skills: Proficient in daily use of functions such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIFs, and IF-THEN statements. Financial Acumen: Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial statements, and analysis, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance. Analytical Skills: Capable of identifying trends, variances, and financial risks. Problem-Solving: Proactive in enhancing processes and resolving challenges. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Leadership and Teamwork: Leadership qualities to mentor when needed, and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within the accounting and finance department. Strong Technical skills: PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, Blackline, Alevate or similar systems preferred
