We’re seeking an individual with both technical expertise and leadership ability, someone who can manage daily accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and provide oversight across areas like inventory, revenue, and compliance. You’ll be directly involved in month-end close, reporting, and financial analysis while also mentoring and guiding two individuals on the accounting team. Because we’re a growing company with unique products and operations, we need someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and building processes that scale. Experience with NetSuite is necessary. Some experience in public accounting or years spent following GAAP standards will also be important to filling this role. Any time spent working in precious metals and/or wholesaling is a plus. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close. Work directly in NetSuite to manage and refine accounting workflows, entering and reviewing transactions, troubleshooting system issues, and serving as a NetSuite administrator when needed. Support inventory and fulfillment operations by maintaining accurate tracking, costing, and reporting of physical and financial inventory. Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and key metrics for leadership, highlighting trends and opportunities. Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support strategic initiatives. Develop, document, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with GAAP. Provide mentorship and support to the accounting team, helping develop skillsets and preparing for future leadership transitions. Take an active role in scaling processes that support expansion in both domestic and international operations, including implementing system improvements and process documentation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including some public accounting background; experience in precious metals, wholesaling, or inventory-heavy industries is a plus. Strong proficiency in NetSuite, with experience managing accounting workflows and serving as a NetSuite administrator; advanced Excel skills required. Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a small team, delegate effectively, and step into leadership as needed. Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting; experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Experience with inventory accounting is valued. Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing company with evolving processes and multiple priorities.
