The Treasury Accountant is responsible for supporting core treasury operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions across banking and credit card platforms. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of cash management processes, analyzing daily cash activity, and adhering to month-end reconciliation schedules. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of credit card processing and banking infrastructure. Experience in a large, multi-unit organization is preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform daily treasury operations including data entry, transaction processing, report generation, and issue resolution
Analyze and monitor daily cash activity across multiple bank accounts, including wire and ACH requests, positive pay exceptions, voids, and stop payments
Support banking infrastructure: open/close bank accounts, maintain account requirements, and update signature cards
Manage credit card processing functions: merchant applications, gateway setup, chargebacks, and processing fee analysis
Download, format, and analyze bank and credit card data to identify and resolve discrepancies
Prepare journal entries and bank reconciliations; propose adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy
Adhere to month-end cut-off schedules for all credit card and cash-related account reconciliations
Maintain compliance with internal audit and PCI control standards
Collaborate with accounting and field operations teams to support treasury-related transactions
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to banking and credit card activities
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, formula building, and conditional formatting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with strict deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience in the restaurant industry is a plus
Experience in a large, multi-unit company is preferred
Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to resolve operational issues effectively
