Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to make an impact within a growing organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They will perform substantial financial analysis, including the preparation of financial reports and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr. Final pay will be based on skills and experience. Responsibilities
Oversee the company's financial and accounting operations, including inventory management and month-end close procedures. Prepare and submit sales tax filings, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy and conformance to standards. Implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems using current computer technology. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax requirements. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or provide advice. Report to management regarding the finances of the establishment and establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (master's degree or CPA designation considered a plus). Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role with proven management of diverse financial activities. Thorough knowledge of GAAP and experience with sales tax filings. Strong experience with inventory management and month-end close procedures. Proven ability to prepare and interpret profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail; strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency with financial software and MS Office; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Benefits
