As an Audit Staff Accountant at Melton & Melton, LLP, you’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of clients and industries while working side-by-side with experienced professionals who are invested in your success. You’ll be part of a collaborative audit team that values curiosity, initiative, and continuous learning. What You’ll Do

Learn and apply accounting and auditing standards issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the AICPA. Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits and other assurance engagements. Prepare and organize fieldwork, ensuring that supervisors are informed of progress and any emerging issues. Take ownership of assigned audit areas under the guidance of senior team members. Communicate audit findings and process improvements to Supervisors, Managers, and Partners. Contribute to client meetings and help identify ways to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness. Develop a solid understanding of each client’s business, industry, and operations. Participate in firm training and professional development programs to strengthen your technical and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university (Accounting degree required) Preferred overall GPA of 3.0 (overall and in accounting courses) Demonstrated written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team 0–3 years of experience and actively pursuing a CPA license Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Employment and Function
