Contracted hours 37.5 per week over 5 out of 7 days. This will normally be Monday to Fridayhowever there may be a requirement to cover bank holidays and weekends onoccasion. This post will require the post holder to travel betweendifferent clinical sites across the county and community locations includingthe patients home. There is some opportunity to work from home for someelements of the role. The Nutrition and Dietetic team in Herefordshire andWorcestershire Heath and Care Trust is currently undertaking a service reviewand it is anticipated that this will involve integration of the service withWorcester Acute Hospital Trust Nutrition and Dietetic Service. Currently the service includes provision forinpatients referred from trust inpatient units, including community hospitalsand mental health units, enterally tube fed adults and children who live intheir own home, children, young people and families in community clinics tosupport paediatric referrals under the care of a Community Paediatrician orCAMHS Consultant and patients and HCP`s as part of the HWHCT Community AdultEating Disorder team and Children`s Eating Disorder service. Main duties of the job
Be responsible for leading onthe provision of a highly specialist, evidence-based Nutrition and Dieteticservice for Community patients in Worcestershire and providing expert adviceand guidance for statutory bodies and other agencies as appropriate. Lead on the development andimplementation of high quality, multi-professional nutrition education andtraining programmes within the Trust and to continually develop the CommunityNutrition and Dietetic service. Be responsible for theCommunity Nutrition and Dietetic service budget and resources at approval leveland management of the team including recruitment, appraisal and supervision,continuing professional development and performance and the management of complaintsand incidents within the service. Work across organisational andprofessional boundaries to develop effective partnerships and interagency jointworking in accordance with agreed strategic direction and frameworks Be responsible for the deliveryof performance of the dietetic service against governance, financial, trust andgroup priorities and targets in collaboration with the Community ServicesManager.
