Overview
.NET Application Architect Contract to Hire (W2 ONLY, NO C-C) Plano, TX (Hybrid) As a .NET Application Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge cloud-based solutions. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, propose scalable and secure technical architectures, and ensure successful project execution from concept to delivery. Responsibilities
Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development teams
Define and enforce architectural best practices and design patterns
Evaluate and select appropriate Azure services and .NET technologies
Conduct code reviews and promote high coding standards
Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Design end-to-end solution architectures using diagrams and models (data flow, component, deployment)
Assess technical feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions
Design and implement cloud-native architectures using core Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Databases, Analytics)
Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
Stay informed on emerging Azure capabilities and industry best practices
Act as an Agile Architect within a Scrum team responsible for an enterprise-grade Azure/.NET application platform
Collaborate with development teams to ensure architectural consistency and quality throughout the SDLC
Support planning, estimation, and delivery of technical projects
Monitor execution and proactively identify risks or roadblocks
Ensure solutions are delivered on time and aligned with defined goals
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
10 years of experience in software development, including:
5 years in software architecture
3 years building cloud-native solutions
Strong proficiency in .NET technologies, including C# and ASP.NET
Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture principles
Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, containerization)
Professional certifications such as:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
Experience with serverless computing (e.g., Azure Functions) and microservices architecture
Familiarity with data engineering and analytics tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics)
