IT Launch-System Integration Lead at General Motors. The role is the expert responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and oversight of wired and wireless network infrastructure and plant floor technology integration, ensuring seamless connectivity, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and reliability standards in a high-demand manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure Oversight: Lead the installation and configuration of wired and wireless networks, including switch port configuration and network topology planning. Contractor Management: Supervise external contractors to ensure safe, timely and compliant execution of infrastructure projects. Hardware Procurement & Deployment: Source, configure, and deploy plant floor hardware such as PCs, tablets, and material delivery request systems. Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and end-user device problems that impact production operations. Project Management: Oversee all phases of integration projects, from planning and procurement to deployment and post-implementation support, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. Recognized as a fully qualified and experienced professional with deep expertise in network systems, hardware deployment, and integration across manufacturing operations. Independently leads complex initiatives, identifying technical and operational challenges and translating them into actionable, scalable solutions. Applies advanced problem-solving techniques to resolve non-standard issues, including network disruptions and hardware malfunctions affecting production. Provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and cross-functional teams, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Complexity

Bachelor's degree in an IT/technical field or equivalent work experience Knowledge of SAN storage system hardware (e.g., Isilon, Pure, etc.) Familiarity with VMware environment Knowledge of Windows and Linux (Red Hat/SUSE) server environments Manufacturing related curriculum or significant interest in manufacturing Travel as required to plants (50-75%) People Skills
