September 8th Position Summary: We are hiring AR Follow-Up Specialists to support a large-scale Accounts Receivable clean-up project for a leading healthcare organization. This is a 6-month contract role ideal for candidates with strong Epic and RCM experience who are self-starters and critical thinkers. The work environment is fast-paced and performance-driven with an emphasis on Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. Top Qualifications: Must-Have Skills: Epic experience with claims follow-up, denial resolution, and AR workflows Minimum 2 years of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience Preference for candidates with 5+ years; some roles available for mid-level candidates High school diploma or equivalent (education will be verified) Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience working with FQHCs (Federally Qualified Health Centers) Strong knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid payer processes Soft Skills/Attributes: Critical thinker with problem-solving skills Self-starter who can work independently Able to hit the ground running and meet productivity goals Key Responsibilities: Perform AR follow-up and denial resolution within Epic Review and interpret payment postings, denials, and EOBs Work denials and registrations with daily metrics Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements Communicate with internal teams, patients, and payers to resolve billing issues Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all account activity Track payer policy changes and communicate updates Uphold HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality Compliance & Onboarding Requirements: Employment verification (last 5 years) MMR Titer TB Test Criminal background check 10-panel drug screen Training & Work Schedule: Onsite Training Location: Houston, Texas Contractors must attend onsite training (typically 2–3 days). After training, the role is primarily remote, with one required onsite meeting per month. If performance benchmarks are not met, the schedule may be adjusted to include additional onsite work as needed. Seniority level
