Overview
Software Engineer – Level 3 or 4 – R10208979. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance: SCI. Travel: Yes, up to 10% of the time. This position is on-site and follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. This role is at Northrop Grumman in the Space Sector and may be located in Morrisville, NC; Fairfax, VA; or Linthicum, MD. Responsibilities
Design, develop, document, test and debug applications and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine computer user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure software standards are met. Basic Qualifications (must have)
Note: This requisition may be filled at Level 3 or Level 4 depending on experience. Active Top-Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application [TS/SCI]. Level 3: Principal level – Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of software development experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years; or PhD with 1 year. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed Bachelor’s. Level 4: Senior Principal level – Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of software development experience; or Master’s degree with 6 years; or PhD with 4 years. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed Bachelor’s. Experience developing in Java. Experience with software design and architecture, software unit testing, Docker and Kubernetes, and Microservice architecture and Object-Oriented Design (OOD). Preferred Qualifications
STEM degree. Experience with Keycloak, Node.js, MongoDB. Experience as a front-end GUI Designer and UI Implementation. Experience with Agile development. About Space Sector
