Our client is seeking a qualified
Desktop Support Technician
to join their team onsite in Asheville, NC and provide end-user support. We support employees through engagement and provide career guidance and reemployment assistance.
Work Hours
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Tuesday and Thursday.
Duties and Responsibilities
Repair, test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other related hardware
Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals; set up, configure, and add hardware
Perform install, move, add, and change; support large IMAC events for printer migration and PC refreshes
Ensure follow-up on tickets requiring additional work or calls
Provide face-to-face in-person technical support to end users at the customer site
Back up and burn end user data
Assist in developing and documenting process improvements
Assist other coworkers in resolving end users' technical issues across the program
Assist Site Leader with execution of established processes and escalations
Skills and Qualifications
Experience with asset management
Confident, positive attitude and strong customer experience orientation
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high energy
Experience diagnosing and replacing PC/laptop hardware components and troubleshooting software (Windows blue-screen, Outlook, network printers)
Working knowledge of enterprise technologies (Office 365, Windows 10 Professional, imaging, ticketing systems)
Experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics is a plus
Ability to work with strong personalities and de-escalate tense users
Ability to work independently and maintain scheduled hours
Proactive and reliable with limited site IT leadership
Ability to handle multiple projects and work in an enterprise environment
Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, crawl, and climb; capable of standing and walking for extended periods
ServiceNow experience not required but a plus; Windows 10 and Mac OS experience a plus
Wage Range The rate for this position is between
$16.50 - $24.20 per hour . Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
