Adjunct - Chemistry (On Campus Applicant Pool)
The College of Science & Humanities is building a pool of qualified adjunct instructors for future part-time teaching opportunities in Chemistry. Appointments are semester-by-semester and depend on program needs. All courses are delivered face-to-face on the Bangor campus. Potential Course Assignments
General Chemistry I & II (lecture and/or lab) Upper-level or specialty courses aligned with departmental needs Examples of Duties
Teach assigned chemistry courses during the fall and/or spring semester. Collaborate with full-time faculty to maintain common syllabi, assignments, and assessments. Submit timely grades and assessment data in accordance with University policies. Typical Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline (Ph.D. preferred). Experience: Previous college-level teaching (lecture or lab) preferred. Commitment to evidence-based teaching practices and continuous improvement. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Supplemental Information
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis; candidates will remain in the adjunct pool for one academic year. Compensation (Rates)
Undergraduate Course: Masters Prepared $933.33 maximum per credit hour Undergraduate Course: Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour Graduate Course: Masters Level Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour Graduate Course: Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour Lab Sections Undergraduate: Masters Prepared $1,150.00 per credit hour Lab Sections Undergraduate: Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,250.00 per credit hour Husson University is an equal employment opportunity employer.
