Overview
Environmental Health & Safety Leader at Georgia-Pacific Dixie Consumer Products Operation, Bowling Green, Kentucky. This role builds a partnership with front-line leadership and collaborates with business partners to develop and mentor the production team related to EH&S. The EH&S Leader establishes and optimizes systems and processes to address the facility EHS risk profile. What You Will Do
Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing the Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture. Partner with site leadership to influence team members to achieve the Path to Zero Safety Strategy in line with Koch’s Safety Vision. Collaborate with site leadership to reduce the facility risk profile through development and implementation of objectives, strategies, targets, and measures. Responsible for all systems and processes that manage EHS risk at the facility (Compliance standards, risk management, HIRA, Safety Improvement Planning, Safety Training, etc.). Communicate facility safety vision, strategies, and performance to internal and external stakeholders. Foster an environment where employees exercise their EH&S decision rights and integrate the vision. Facilitate EH&S ownership by the line organization through integration of the EH&S Management System. Drive continuous improvement using self-assessments, audits, incident investigations, metrics and targets, and periodic reviews of performance, culture, and talent. Coach, mentor, and develop members of the safety team(s). Own and manage injury management and workers’ compensation processes. Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels. Basic Qualifications
Experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience using and applying effective safety management systems. Experience developing regulatory compliance programs and training. Experience in occupational safety management with demonstrated results. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings. Demonstrated leadership experience. Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred. Benefits
