Senior Location Safety Manager - School Bus Operations
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Safety Manager
to lead the safety program for a large school bus station and/or multiple mid-size locations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state/provincial, and local safety regulations while fostering a culture of safety excellence. The Senior Safety Manager will provide leadership, training oversight, and incident management to ensure the highest standards of safety for our drivers, students, and community.
Salary & Location Salary:
$75,000 annually

Key Responsibilities
Oversee driver hiring and compliance, including interviews, background checks, DOT physicals, and drug/alcohol testing.
Manage and support training programs, recertifications, and performance evaluations.
Lead investigations of safety events, determine preventability, and provide coaching for improvement.
Monitor driver performance using technology, road evaluations, and telematics.
Analyze safety data and trends to create action plans that improve safety outcomes.
Partner with leadership to implement company safety initiatives and manage program budgets.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience, preferably in transportation or fleet operations.
Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, FTA, OSHA, and related safety regulations.
Proven leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety/telematics systems.
Valid driver's license required.
