King County Family Court is seeking an administrative professional with a passion for supporting Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children in dependency court proceedings. This full-time, benefited term-limited-temporary appointment is anticipated to last up to 12 months and will provide a variety of administrative and customer service tasks in support of the CASA program. This position is based in the Children and Family Justice Center, 1211 E. Alder Street, Seattle, Washington. The incumbent may be required to work at other Superior Court facilities as needed. Work schedule and terms

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position working a 35-hour work week. The work week is normally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Variations from these hours may occur based on the needs of the Court. Additional materials required

Provide program-specific information to internal and external customers. Establish and maintain databases. Verify validity, accuracy, proper format and completeness of information received. Interview customers to identify and document services needed. Perform basic to moderate numerical calculations involving processing expense vouchers. Compose, draft, proofread and edit documents or correspondence. Process mail and disseminate materials and reports. Modify and update desk procedures that relate to assigned work. May be assigned the orientation or training of co-workers. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level. Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of two years' administrative/office experience is required. Knowledge of specialized court databases and programs, and general office principles and practices. Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Able to follow oral and written instructions. Experience working with diverse populations and/or emotional situations with cultural sensitivity. Necessary special requirements

The ability to reliably travel throughout the County is required. Finalists are subject to the Washington State Patrol criminal background check and a reference check. Selection process
