The Senior Accountant will be responsible for all journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned GL accounts, as well as ad hoc and month end reporting. This role will work on a team of Accountants and report directly to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities
Take ownership of assigned GL accounts and ensure accuracy, understanding, and consistency of application and compliance with GAAP Perform various month end/quarter end close activities to meet accounting close deadlines, including journal entry preparation and submission and preparation of appropriate support Reconcile and maintain the integrity of the assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts Create, upload, and modify accounting entries into the accounting system and maintain workpapers in accordance with GAAP and company policies and procedures Document internal controls surrounding the tasks performed to ensure completion of the close checklist Establish productive relationships within the accounting team and other departments Provide accurate and timely responses to requests from internal customers including accounting, finance, and operations Assist with other ad-hoc projects as necessary Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience 3 to 5 years of accounting experience preferred Experience obtaining and analyzing data from an ERP system (Oracle experience preferred, but not required) Proficient with Excel (including pivot tables) Strong analytical and quantitative skills Effective time management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well on a team, and a positive disposition Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely manner Seniority level and Employment type
