– this is a full-time, non-exempt position in the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Department. Under general supervision, the employee will review source documents and enter financial transactions, reconcile accounting records, operate or assist with cash register functions, and receive, control, and record cash/check/credit card receipts. Duties also include processing accounts payable and preparing payment requests/checks, preparing bank deposits, and performing routine clerical duties. This position requires a pre-employment background, MVR, and credit check. Responsibilities

Review a wide range of source documents, such as purchase orders, vouchers, invoices, receipts, requisitions, petty cash, travel, payroll/other forms or similar materials. Identify inaccuracies, such as math errors, missing or inaccurate information, signatures or documentation. Assign standard pre-established accounting codes and/or other identifying information. Enter routine financial transactions into accounting systems. Verify and correct information entered. Reconcile accounting records. Receive, control and record cash/check/credit card receipts. Enter account data. Balance register on the BANNER system when assisting with student registration. Operate or assist with cash register functions. Process accounts payable such as complex invoices and shipment documents, partial payments, discounts and other transactions which may involve multiple state chart of accounts. Prepare payment requests or checks. Prepare bank deposits. Generate BANNER and other reports and distribute to staff. Perform limited, routine general clerical duties such as maintaining leave records, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory, distributing mail, typing, answering telephone and/or related duties. Enter payroll transactions/data in accounting system. Display a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operate effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrate trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Attend training and implement processes as directed. Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in related field and three (3) years of work experience in the business environment. Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis. Seniority level
