The Accounting Manager will oversee all financial operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight into the company’s financial performance. This role is responsible for managing core accounting functions, budgeting, and financial reporting, while leading a small team to support organizational goals and fiscal integrity. Key Responsibilities

Direct all accounting, budgeting, and forecasting activities for the manufacturing facility. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to provide actionable insights for leadership. Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals to strengthen performance and process efficiency. Partner cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and executive leadership to align financial goals with overall business objectives. Manage cost-reduction and profit-improvement initiatives. Oversee annual budgeting and ongoing forecast updates. Conduct inventory costing, variance analysis, and inventory audits for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Evaluate the financial impact of design changes, raw materials, or manufacturing methods on production costs. Compare standard costs to actual results and analyze variances to identify improvement opportunities. Review Bills of Material to ensure cost accuracy. Conduct internal audits to verify data accuracy and compliance with established controls. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and reporting accuracy. Stay informed on evolving accounting standards, industry trends, and regulatory updates to maintain best practices. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of five years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role. Prior experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and generate meaningful reports and projections. Proven problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making. Skills and Competencies

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations. Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting. Advanced Excel and accounting software skills. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
