Overview We are seeking a

hands-on Project Controller

to manage all U.S.-based accounting operations for a high-end design/build company. This is a

sole contributor position

reporting directly to the Global CFO. The ideal candidate will bring

deep expertise in project accounting, QuickBooks Online, and inventory management

— these skills are

non-negotiable

and critical to success in this role.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, from AP/AR and financial reporting to cost tracking and process improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to build and own the U.S. accounting function, strengthen systems, and ensure accuracy across every project.

Responsibilities

Own all aspects of U.S. accounting operations , including

accounts payable ,

accounts receivable ,

project accounting , and

inventory control

Manage

job cost tracking ,

WIP schedules , and

budget vs. actual reporting

for multiple design/build projects

Serve as the in-house expert for

QuickBooks Online , managing all transactions, reconciliations, and reporting

Oversee

inventory accounting , including reconciliations, valuations, and physical counts

Prepare and present

accurate financial statements

and project-level reporting to the Global CFO

Implement and refine accounting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance

Support cash flow forecasting, audits, and financial analysis

Operate as a

sole accounting contributor , managing all functions independently

Required Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience in project accounting

Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online

Strong background in inventory accounting and management

Additional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a project-based or design/build environment

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

CPA or advanced certification, but not required
