Assistant Controller

Overview A national, multi-billion dollar company has retained our firm to hire an

Assistant Controller . Reporting to the

Chief Accounting Officer , this leader will oversee a team of seven and serve as a key player in strengthening the company’s accounting infrastructure, reporting processes, and compliance framework. We’re seeking an experienced CPA with both

public accounting (Big 4 preferred)

and

hands-on corporate accounting

experience who has led

financial reporting and technical accounting

functions in a complex, multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

Financial reporting and quarterly covenant compliance

Annual financial statements and footnotes

Technical accounting policy creation and oversight

Revenue recognition

Corporate accounting (fixed assets, leases, cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, consolidations)

Oversight of outsourced sales & use tax compliance

Audit management and internal control leadership

Qualifications

12+ years total experience

CPA required

Blend of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and corporate experience

Proven ability to lead teams and partner cross-functionally

Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP
