As a member of a sales team, the sales professional is responsible for the development and management of large freight opportunities. Their responsibilities would include maintaining existing business through a solutions-based relationship, to pursue expansion opportunities of existing customers, identify and pursue new customers and a high level of collaboration within the company to ensure an optimal customer experience.
Essential Functions
Expand and maintain customer revenue by focusing on the customer's supply chain with decision makers, analyzing customer needs, and developing and implementing freight solutions.
Coordinates and collaborates with internal functional teams to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.
Fosters an outstanding customer relationship by regularly engaging with the customer to provide business reviews, deliver value proposition and maximize customer utilization of company services.
Listen to understand and learn the customer's business while leveraging emerging technology and internal systems to drive compelling business proposition.
Manage and execute key success factors to meet quarterly goals.
Strong business acumen skills, project management skills and ability to generate creative solutions based on customer needs.
Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience.
Minimum Experience Three (3) years of business-to-business sales experience (LTL preferred) or two (2) years of FedEx business-to-business sales experience required. Ability to travel overnight required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
3+ years of Less Than Truckload (LTL) experience with strong knowledge of LTL pricing preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams), Salesforce
Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills, discipline and adaptability while working in a team environment
Demonstrated negotiation skills needed for LTL pricing and contract renewals for region's largest LTL accounts
High-level negotiation skills needed to offer fair, competitive market-based pricing within parameters set by the company
Ability to collaborate with internal support teams
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:
LTL/Freight Selling experience, working with large customers, strategic selling and negotiation, current/former FedEx employee. FedEx Employees under Jill Brannon's org. Time in Position is waived.
Pay Transparency Pay:
$68,400 - $125,163
Additional Details Additional Details:
This is a face to face sales role. Hybrid work schedule. The preferred location is Nashville, TN. Other locations within a 50 mile radius may be considered. Relocation may be available based on business needs.
