Overview
The Accounts Receivable Specialist contributes to the success of Menzies Aviation by meeting key performance metrics for the Accounts Receivable organization, reducing delinquency, managing DSO targets, monitoring customer exposure, and maintaining bad debt levels through relationships with internal and external customers. Responsibilities
Proactively contact assigned customers for delinquent receivables and document communication to maintain account history in the system of record. Develop successful relationships with customer contacts and sales. Apply knowledge of individual customer accounts to handle balance inquiries, resolve billing disputes and other issues, and provide quality customer service. Negotiate payment from delinquent customers to maintain receivables within target while ensuring compliance with credit terms. Continuously monitor delinquent accounts to ensure payment terms are met and minimize exposure to Menzies booked balances. Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy; stay organized with strong planning and prioritization skills. Schedule and monitor ongoing tasks, manage workload, and communicate with management on workload issues to ensure timely, accurate work according to standards. Demonstrate strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills; be results-oriented with good judgment. Maintain excellent interpersonal skills, work well in a team, and stay customer-focused. Create reports related to AR status and details. Ensure customers have received all invoices, including portal uploads if applicable. Understand overall business goals and how Accounts Receivable supports these goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications And Experience
Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills. Basic understanding of fundamental accounting skills. Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing. Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English. Ability to read and interpret management-level documents. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to learn quickly. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and ask for clarification when needed. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team and build relationships. Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays. Benefits
