Revenue Cycle Manager

is responsible for the end-to-end oversight of the revenue cycle process, with a primary focus on managing the relationship and performance of an external third-party billing company. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and plays a vital role in ensuring the financial sustainability of our programs through collaborative oversight of claims, compliance, and vendor relationships. Work Schedule:

Full-time, Day, Monday-Friday, 8:30a-4:30p (with some flexibility). Vendor Oversight & Relationship Management Monitor vendor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), including clean claims rate, denial rate, days in AR, and collection percentage. Conduct regular reviews and hold the vendor accountable for outcomes. Escalate and resolve billing and collection issues in collaboration with the vendor. Revenue Cycle Management

Oversee the full revenue cycle process, including charge capture, coding, claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and collections. Ensure behavioral health services (e.g., psychotherapy, psychological assessments, ABA services, SLP/OT assessments/services) are billed in compliance with payer requirements and documentation standards. Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely charge entry. Analytics & Reporting

Analyze and interpret revenue cycle data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Provide regular reports to leadership on billing performance, AR aging, denial rates, and cash collections. Develop and implement action plans to improve key revenue cycle metrics. Compliance & Process Improvement

Maintain knowledge of behavioral health billing nuances, including prior authorizations, frequency limits, and state Medicaid variations. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline revenue cycle functions. Support audits and payer reviews by preparing accurate records and reports. Team Collaboration & Training

Serve as a subject matter expert for internal staff on behavioral health billing and coding practices. Partner with clinical leadership to provide feedback on documentation or coding deficiencies. Conduct periodic training for front office and clinical teams on billing-related workflows, such as authorization capture, encounter completion, and accurate service coding. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Responds well to changing regulations, payer requirements, and organizational needs. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Experience working with 3rd party payer systems (HMO, PPO, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.). Strong understanding of medical billing, insurance reimbursement, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and healthcare compliance. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) and billing software systems. Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in healthcare financial operations, claims oversight, or vendor management. A minimum of three years of revenue cycle management, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting. Glenwood is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
