EY’s National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile, national and multinational clients, providing a range of domestic and international transactional tax planning services and tax-related advisory services. Our Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice operates within the NTD, assisting companies with all aspects of their financial reporting for income taxes including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing. Role overview As a Seasonal Senior Manager, you'll provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share based compensation, financial statement restatements and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts). You'll also assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision, review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy, and enhance the control environment, including assessment of tax risk and control environments beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404. Responsibilities Tax accounting projects and consulting Tax provision preparation and review; assist with all aspects of tax provision preparation Process and controls enhancement Identify, prioritize, monitor and remediate key risks Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field, with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership Minimum of 10 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and attention to detail Ideal additional experience ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience, corporate tax planning and compliance, broader tax exposure What we offer EY focuses on developing future-focused skills and providing world-class experiences in a flexible, inclusive culture of globally connected teams Salary range discussed in context of geographic location and experience EY is an equal employment opportunity employer.
