Overview
Catering Sales Manager at Driftwood Hospitality Management, overseeing corporate day meetings/conferences and select social events (excluding weddings), holiday parties, and fundraising galas at The Saratoga Hilton. The ideal candidate will combine hospitality expertise, excellent communication, and the ability to manage a high-volume catering sales process with a warm, client-focused approach.
Responsibilities
Drive social catering sales by prospecting, networking, and following up on leads.
Design customized events that reflect each client’s vision—working closely with culinary and banquet teams.
Showcase the hotel with engaging site tours that reflect Hilton’s warm, welcoming style.
Represent the brand at social events, expos, and networking community events.
Develop and execute a local and outbound sales strategy to identify high-potential target customer segments and industries that would benefit from our services.
Provide leadership and direction in all catering matters, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat clients using multiple channels, such as social media and telemarketing.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
GUEST SATISFACTION
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships to support future revenue growth.
Coordinate and communicate with clients (internal and external) regarding event details; follow up post-event.
Maintain visible presence with clients during the event process and coordinate with Convention Services for execution; address problems and suggest alternatives as needed.
Display leadership in guest hospitality and ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases of hotel events, meeting or exceeding client expectations and fostering loyalty.
Qualifications
2+ years of hotel catering experience or a similar industry
Proven track record of delivering quality service
Previous leadership experience preferred
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Knowledge of catering, food & beverage with banquet experience
Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with Delphi or other hotel systems is a plus
