The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating new business from existing federal and defense customers. This includes understanding their needs from prototype parts to full production. The role involves demonstrating the value of our offerings and expanding our market share.

You will spend your days communicating with teammates, internal stakeholders, and customers, while gaining a deep understanding of the $50 billion low-volume manufacturing industry in the U.S.
Responsibilities: Sell technical products and services to defense and federal clients. Drive strategic revenue growth within federal accounts. Build relationships with engineering, program management, procurement, and executive teams. Arrange sales meetings with prospective clients, qualifying potential leads. Understand federal procurement and contracting processes, including FAR and DFARS. Collaborate with technical staff to meet customer needs. Accurately manage data within CRM and sales systems. Represent the company professionally at all times. Propose solutions and negotiate contracts effectively. Participate in training and mentoring programs. Align with company goals to enhance performance. Comply with Xometry's quality and safety policies.
Qualifications: 7+ years of sales experience with a proven track record. 2+ years selling technical products/services in manufacturing. 3+ years selling to DoD/federal clients. Knowledge of government contracting and procurement. Manufacturing or engineering background preferred. Willingness to travel up to 50%. Strong presentation skills, both virtual and in-person. Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom/WebEx, and CRM systems like Salesforce. Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales planning skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
