Mergers & Acquisitions Associate – Chicago A leading global law firm with a premier M&A and Private Equity practice is seeking a mid-level Associate for its Chicago office. This role is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer with 4+ years of M&A or private equity experience and a proven track record advising high-growth companies, private equity funds, and corporate clients on complex transactions. Responsibilities
Lead drafting and negotiation of purchase agreements, merger agreements, LLC/LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents. Manage due diligence, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless client communication. Participate in high-profile, cross-border, and multi-jurisdictional deals. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices and practice areas. Qualifications
4+ years of experience in M&A and/or private equity. JD from an accredited law school; admitted to Illinois (or eligible). Strong commercial awareness, judgment, and client service focus. Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills. Professional, proactive, and able to thrive under fast-paced, complex deal-making environments. Compensation & Benefits
