Overview
Membership Associate-Church Health (4:45am-9am) at YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South. The part-time Membership Associate delivers excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, responds to member needs, promotes memberships and programs, and maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby area. Responsibilities
Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention. Interviews and/or tours prospective members; sells memberships. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and to the YMCA. Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues. Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services. May hand out locker keys and towels; may monitor the locker rooms as required. Reports work time accurately via approved YMCA clocking methods. Administrative Duties
Attend and participate in departmental meetings Assist with facility tours Serve as a YMCA representative at special events Attend designated YMCA trainings and certification courses YMCA Leadership Competencies

Minimum age of 18 Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED and First Aid Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds Previous customer service, sales, or related experience Basic knowledge of computers Work Environment And Physical Demands
Frequently stand for long periods and may kneel or crouch Exposure to loud music Visual abilities include close, distant, peripheral, and depth perception Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions Ability to perceive, identify and respond to signs of distress Arrive at 4:45am to complete opening duties Ensure equipment and spaces are ready for member use Help ensure fitness areas are functional, clean, and sanitized Help enforce policies and procedures of fitness areas Assist with facility tours Salary
