$90,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr We are an established Family Law firm located in the Seattle area. Due to growth, we have a need for a Managing Paralegal to add to our team. This role can be hybrid or completely remote up to candidate preference. About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Lead Family Law Paralegal

to join our team. This role requires an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting clients through family law matters. The Lead Paralegal will manage complex cases, mentor junior staff, and serve as the primary liaison between attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of family law procedures, and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy in sensitive situations. This position offers flexibility to work hybrid in Seattle or primarily remote, depending on the candidate’s preference. Responsibilities

Case Management:

Oversee the full lifecycle of family law cases, including divorce, custody, support, and modifications. Document Preparation:

Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, declarations, parenting plans, settlement agreements, and trial binders. Client Interaction:

Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing updates, gathering information, and ensuring high-quality client service. Court Filings:

File and serve documents in compliance with state and local rules, including e-filing when required. Attorney Support:

Assist attorneys with case strategy, trial preparation, and hearings. Billing & Timekeeping:

Accurately track and bill 1,000 annual hours in accordance with firm policies. Leadership:

Mentor and supervise junior paralegals or legal assistants, delegating tasks and ensuring consistent quality of work. Process Improvement:

Recommend and implement systems to increase efficiency in case handling, document management, and client communication. Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of family law paralegal experience in Washington State. Paralegal Certificate or degree preferred. Strong knowledge of Washington family law rules, court procedures, and e-filing systems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under minimal supervision. Experience with legal billing software and commitment to meeting annual billing requirements.
