Burkeville, VA The Nottoway Transitional Men’s Work Release program’s mission is to teach low-level inmates who are 9-12 months from release effective coping skills to lead a pro-social, drug-free life. Schedule:
Sunday – Thursday, 11am-7:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. Pay rate:
$28.85/hr. ($60,000 annually). Candidates with a CSAC, CADC, or equivalent certification/license are eligible for $31.25/hr. ($65,000 annually). Facilitating psycho-educational and process groups. Providing individual counseling and documenting sessions. Maintaining clinical records per standards. Serving as a role model/mentor while maintaining professional boundaries. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services required. State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in Virginia or similar within two years. Experience in correctional or secure environments is a plus.
