The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows company standards across work centers, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate works across store areas as needed and may be assigned additional tasks to help achieve customer service and operational goals. Essential Functions
Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors. Maintains awareness on the sales floor to create a safe, secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Treats Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognizes fellow Associates using company recognition programs. Assists Customers as needed – is register-trained, assists with merchandise, and answers questions in a polite, knowledgeable manner. Greets Customers with eye contact, smiles, and a greeting; thanks Customers at checkout. Provides prompt, courteous responses to Customer inquiries and issues; calls Store Leadership as needed. Represents and supports the Company brand at all times. Performs cleaning tasks and replenishes supplies to maintain a clean and organized store and customer areas. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company's dress code. Performs daily merchandising tasks to keep the store neat, clean, and aligned with presentation standards. Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor and presents items per monthly guidelines to support customer needs. Understands Loss Prevention Awareness, MOS policies, and merchandise protection standards. Safeguards confidential information and cash handling as required. Follows policies concerning transactions and maintains accuracy in handling tenders. Demonstrates urgency to maximize productivity and follow Store best practices. Competencies

Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Physical Requirements/Ada
Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop. Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to use janitorial equipment and ladders as needed. Some assignments may require other qualifications and skills. Stockroom shifts may require regular push/pull and lift over 20 pounds. Supervisory Responsibilities
