The Reporting, Analytics and Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in analyzing, reporting, and interpreting compensation data to support strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with internal and external compensation policies and regulations. This position requires a strong analytical background, proficiency in data reporting tools, and the ability to effectively communicate complex compensation information. The manager of this role will be the Head of Compensation Delivery, North America. Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting Develop, maintain, and enhance compensation reports and dashboards to provide insights into compensation trends, equity, and effectiveness. Analyze compensation data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, and provide actionable recommendations. Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to management and other stakeholders. Perform data audits to ensure accuracy and consistency in compensation records and reporting. Compliance & Audit Lead the local Pay Equity and Pay Transparency projects, working with internal and external legal counsel and other stakeholders. Ensure that compensation practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with local HR to define metrics and legal requirements. Assist with internal and external audits related to compensation and benefits. Compensation Metrics & Benchmarking Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices. System Management Utilize compensation management systems and tools to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. Collaborate with HRIS teams to ensure accurate and efficient data integration and system updates for Americas and Global Varian. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with HR, finance, and other departments to support compensation-related projects and initiatives. Provide support and guidance on compensation-related inquiries and issues. Project Management Lead or participate in compensation projects, such as short & long term incentives, compensation redesign, or new compensation program implementations. Collaborate with global compensation teams to align regional practices with global strategies and initiatives. Qualifications
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation, with a focus on regional or international compensation practice. Skills Advanced Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power Apps, Qlik, Tableau). Experience with a Global Pay Equity Tool such as Syndio or Trusaic is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively advise and influence stakeholders. Ability to work with large data sets and perform detailed data analysis. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with compensation practices, salary structures, and market benchmarking. Attributes Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Compensation & Benefits
The Annual Base Pay For This Position Is: Min $86,700 - Max $130,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position, commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance. The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time.
