The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will help ensure Yugoers are paid accurately and have access to benefits that support their well-being in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Location : US-CO-Denver Responsibilities

Reporting to the US People Director; here’s what you’ll be doing: Payroll Administration: Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now. Validate and enter payroll data, ensuring correct wages, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings in accordance with policy and legal requirements. Collaborate with People & Culture, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve payroll issues. Conduct routine payroll audits and generate reports for internal stakeholders and auditors. Reconcile discrepancies and ensure timely year-end tax document distribution (e.g., W-2s). Benefits Administration: Support employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Liaise with brokers, vendors, and ADP benefits support to manage inquiries, eligibility, and compliance. Provide timely and accurate information to employees during onboarding, open enrollment, and throughout the year. Assist with leave management and coordinate benefits impact and communication. Maintain accurate records of all benefits activity. Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure compliance with multi-state tax regulations, labor laws, and internal policies. Maintain payroll-related tax setups and coordinate with relevant jurisdictions on tax filings. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support audits, benefits renewals, and process enhancements. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in payroll and benefits operations. Draft and update relevant process documentation and policies as needed. Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and benefits with clarity and care. Educate employees on payroll timelines, deduction policies, and benefit offerings. Serve as a trusted and confidential resource for all payroll and benefit-related matters. Qualifications

2+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience in a multi-state organization. Strong understanding of payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred). Knowledge of relevant employment, tax, and benefits laws and regulations. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and discretion. Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Passion for supporting people and solving problems proactively. What We Offer
