BCG Attorney Search
A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney for its Georgia division. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Georgia and in good standing, with additional state licensures preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in foreclosure law, bankruptcy, litigation, and a comprehensive understanding of property law.
Duties
Manage litigation caseload, including probate, title curative, wrongful foreclosure, title disputes, eviction matters, and tax issues. Handle cases from referral through disposition, settlement, or verdict, attending court hearings and performing discovery. Respond to disputes, adhere to investor guidelines, and comply with state and federal requirements. Prepare and review documents for accuracy, including court filings and correspondence. Resolve title issues and complete necessary curative actions for clear title. Provide legal advice and research applicable statutes and case law. Requirements
Possess and maintain knowledge of state laws and civil procedure; federal court practice is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, real estate, or representation of financial institutions in real estate-related matters. Experience in real estate, mortgage, and/or commercial litigation preferred. Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, and applicable state and federal debt collection and real property law is a plus. Exceptional communication skills and ability to travel as needed. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Skills
Proficiency in legal research, writing, and document drafting. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
