Location: Anywhere in Country EY focuses on building a better working world with a purpose-driven Life Sciences consulting practice that supports clients across discovery, pre-clinical, clinical, translational, and post-market surveillance / real-world evidence in life sciences and healthcare settings. The staff role focuses on strategic planning, business transformation, operating model optimization, clinical trial acceleration, data analytics, research compliance and regulatory affairs, and technology implementation support for life sciences and health clients. You will be part of EY’s Life Sciences Consulting Services team and work with large pharma, biotechnology, academic medical centers, health systems, cancer centers, children’s hospitals, and more.
Support client engagements and deliver professional services in the life sciences and health domain.
Your Responsibilities
A majority of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in life sciences and health domains.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Basic understanding of R&D processes, terminology, and challenges across preclinical research, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and quality and safety functions Ability to work collaboratively within teams, contributing to a positive and productive team environment Strong intellectual curiosity and proactive approach to deepen knowledge of evolving scientific, technological, and business trends in R&D Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills to dissect challenges, interpret data, and deliver evidence-based insights Effective communication skills, written and verbal Professional demeanor that builds trust with client and internal teams Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and fast-paced consulting environments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, health, or a related field 1-2 years of relevant experience in life sciences and/or health (e.g., pharma, biotech, CRO, academic medical centers, cancer centers, etc), preferably in an R&D setting Basic knowledge of key R&D functions (preclinical, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, quality or safety) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to synthesize complex issues into actionable insights Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Willingness to travel based on project requirements
Ideally You’ll Also Have
Advanced coursework or degrees (MBA, MS, PhD) in life sciences, business, public health, or related discipline Prior R&D / clinical trials / clinical development consulting experience Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GxP, ICH, FDA) and compliance in R&D environments Exposure to tools used in R&D and clinical development, such as CTMS
