The hourly rate for this position is $25.00. Temporary position details:
Limited to a maximum of 35 hours per week, not to exceed 944 hours in a fiscal year. The selected applicant would work Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm, from date of hire, for an anticipated period of 4–5 months. Growth:

The selected candidate will perform duties including, but not limited to: Operate a personal computer or computer terminal for processing information Maintain the Judge’s schedule, files and records Type correspondence, documents and form letters; transcribe dictation Prepare required reports; sort and view mail and other documents; follow up as appropriate Facilitate movement of case related matters and respond to inquiries from attorneys, staff and the public Perform other related duties as required Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position. Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience in an office environment performing clerical and support services, including keyboarding, and one or more of: preparing/analyzing legal documents, processing legal or other documents, transcribing information, and scheduling meetings or appointments Substitution: Successful completion of a clerical training program with a minimum of 700 classroom hours or 30 semester hours in secretarial may be substituted for one year of experience. Coursework should include typing skills, methods, and procedures; other courses may include office procedures, word processing, and business English Testing: Applicants selected to interview must pass an appointment authority examination demonstrating typing skills of at least 40 WPM or provide proof of having taken the required skills test Knowledge: Knowledge of legal terminology and working knowledge of Microsoft Office is helpful Physical ability: Some positions may require climbing, standing, bending, reaching; ability to lift 30–50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds Driver’s License: A valid New Jersey driver’s license is required only if operation of a vehicle is necessary Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required; candidate must be authorized to work in the US Residency: All newly hired Judiciary employees within one year must establish and maintain state residency unless an exemption is granted Notes
