Overview
Sr. Manager, Benefits at Lupin Pharmaceuticals. The role leads the design, management, and delivery of Lupin’s US employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, wellbeing, and leave programs. Focus is on compliance, employee experience, and continuous improvement, with oversight of vendor relationships, systems, and governance. Responsibilities
Benefit Program Design & Oversight Design and manage US health, welfare, and retirement programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, COBRA, HSA/FSA, wellbeing). Ensure programs are competitive, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with Lupin’s people strategy. Lead end-to-end annual open enrollment, including strategy, system readiness, vendor coordination, communications, and employee support. Design and deliver engaging education sessions and roadshows to promote understanding and engagement. Serve as primary contact for employees during onboarding, life events, and annual reviews to ensure clear understanding of benefit options and a seamless experience. 401(k) & Retirement Programs Lead 401(k) plan administration, annual audits, compliance testing, and ERISA/DOL reporting. Lead quarterly 401(k) committee with Finance, Legal, and senior leadership to prepare materials, manage vendor relationships, and ensure fiduciary compliance. Partner with recordkeepers and advisors to strengthen employee retirement readiness. Benefits Systems & Operations Manage benefits administration systems to ensure accurate enrollment, eligibility, and reporting. Drive process efficiencies, data integrity, and a seamless employee experience. Leave & Disability Programs Oversee FMLA, disability, personal leave, and return-to-work processes; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate with managers and HR to deliver consistent, supportive leave experiences. Wellbeing Strategy Design and implement holistic wellbeing programs spanning physical, financial, mental, and social health. Engage employees through communications, campaigns, and vendor partnerships. Compliance & Governance Maintain expertise in COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, and related regulations. Ensure regulatory filings, audits, and overall compliance across benefits programs; partner with Finance on budgeting, invoicing, and reporting. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits management (health & welfare, retirement, leave) Expertise in COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, and related compliance Strong experience with benefits systems, 401(k) audits, and vendor management HRIS maintenance and administration experience Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal communication skills Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and the ability to translate complexity into actionable solutions Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 in New Jersey, plus discretionary performance bonus (eligibility). Final salary depends on experience, skillset, and business needs.
